I finally got my own duffel bag! I can't wait to use it! The purple is beautiful, a little darker than what is shown but much prettier! The wheels move effortlessly. There is so much room in here, a golden retriever would fit yet compact enough to carry a lot of clothes in one case! Our family of 3 each got one in different colors and each love theirs! Can't wait to stash stuff in all the pockets which are expandable to hold more treasures! We wanted something light enough to be able to carry it on a "girl's trip" and we have found it! It stores easily when not in use under the bed too!

Unfortunately, this bag is very much a case of "you get what you pay for." I was very surprised that this suitcase was so inexpensive, and I found out the hard way why. It is very poorly made. The seam next to the zipper ripped out on the very first trip I took it on, and the bag was not overpacked. Anyone who has ever sewn anything knows that, even for clothing--which will never get as much rough wear as a suitcase--you need deep seams that are double-reinforced. Not so with this bag. The seams are about 1/8-inch deep, and with no reinforcement at all.Only if you have money to burn investing in an essentially one-use, disposable suitcase should you consider purchasing this bag.

I bought two (one in blue and one in purple) of these for my 8 and 10 year olds. We took them to South America and they served us well! There was plenty of room and all the pockets were useful. Most importantly, the kids could roll them themselves without difficulty. I was concerned that they would not hold up well as checked luggage, but they did great. I was considering getting heavier-duty suitcases with 360 degree wheels, but decided in the end that it was just too expensive. I think I made a good choice.
