The Frame: - Dimensions: 18" Tall x 14" Long x 10" Wide (12" wide with wheels) - Light and strong 3003-H14 aluminum alloy - Telescoping Handle constructed of tensile strength aircraft aluminum - Handle telescopes to a height of 38" - Safely rated at a 300 lb. capacity - Holes in the frame make it lighter while not compromising structural integrity About The Bag: ZÜCA makes the bags from many fabrics but the basic bags in black red and navy are premium 600 Denier Polyester that have been coated on the inside with polyurethane to improve water resistance and seam strength. The bag is water resistant to a point, but should not be left out in a steady rain with stuff inside that should not get wet. ZÜCA uses a very strong type of Velcro (it comes in different adhesive levels) so that the bag is unlikely to come undone due to the interior load pulling on it. About The Wheels: The wheels are 4" polyurethane formulated to absorb a great deal of the shock of hitting a curb, and to make the wheel silent over rough surfaces. ZÜCA makes their own wheels so that they can control the quality of the urethane in the wheel. The flashing mechanism uses no batteries and is powered by a small generator or "magneto" inside the wheel. The magneto rotor is in the wheel and contains a coil of wire wrapped around steel plates. The wire is connected to the LED's, and as the plates pass the magnets in the stationary armature, a small burst of electricity is generated and the LED flashes. The faster you go, the brighter it gets. And what's up with the upper wheels? They are there to make curbs and stairs easy and eliminate the BANG-SCRAPE sound. They don't light up, so if you want to be stealth you can switch uppers for lowers. This is a huge bag and its built to last. I put a small child in it just to see how it would hold up. No problems. I carried him for like a block with everyone laughing. It does have a lot of straps which I am sure come in handy. Its a huge bag and if thats what you need, this was one great and at a good price

Good quality, heavy duty cargo bag. It is very large, I use it to hold my armour, gambeson, helm, and boots, and all of it fits without any need for any struggle to fit it in. I carried my 2 year old son in it just to see if it could handle the weight, and it sure can.

Excellent product - Prompt delivery

With today's little baggage allowance on international flights a duffel bag weighting only a couple of pounds instead of almost 13 pounds for a regular suitcase, makes a lot of sense. This bag served its purpose with flying colors. Arrived to destinetion without damage while carring a content 50 lb.Hope to use it for many trips as I already done with a larger duffel of the same maker.

NICE BAG, BUT....

After searching for a carry on flight bag for a while I came accross this on Amazon. I liked the look of this bag, it was just the right size. Despite the fact that the color wasn't what I'm used to, I ordered it anyway. When it arrived the smell was extremely overpowering, I'm not exaggerating when I say, it almost took my breath away. It was a chemical smell, that seemed like it might kill you.When I opened the bag for the first time I found several pieces of plastic from the shattered insert, which goes at the bottom of the bag to keep it from sagging. I measured the bottom of the bag, to estimate the size of the insert, it was larger than the box. It was obvious it had been stuffed into a box that was too small.After I sent the seller an email, I heard back the same day, the person was helpful. I was told I would get a refund, and that they expected a good review with 5 stars. I gave them 5 stars for the sale as they were so helpful and I was happy because I was keeping the bag. That was at the beginning of February, I just checked my bank statement, no refund showed up, and I'm stuck with this stinky bag I can't use. I already gave the seller five stars for the sale transaction, now they have no reason to be nice.I paid $29.99 with free shipping. There's a price tag on the bag which says $24.99. The bag has been outside in the lanai for over a month now, it doesn't smell quite so bad. I may use it one day if I can find an insert to fit, but for now, it's staying outside for as long as it takes for the smell to go away.It has nice big roomy pockets, shame about the smell. The material looks like it's waterproof and the zippers seem strong. It has a 3 year warranty, but in the event that you send it to the address given (on the label) there's a $25 handling charge! I wish I never ordered this bag, it's gar-BAG-e!

Great duffel!

I bought two (one in blue and one in purple) of these for my 8 and 10 year olds. We took them to South America and they served us well! There was plenty of room and all the pockets were useful. Most importantly, the kids could roll them themselves without difficulty. I was concerned that they would not hold up well as checked luggage, but they did great. I was considering getting heavier-duty suitcases with 360 degree wheels, but decided in the end that it was just too expensive. I think I made a good choice.

This duffel bag arrived as promised but the first time i took it on a trip, it ripped along the top seam as I was packing it. I was not even over packed. I had to use a piece of duct tape to close the seam so I could travel with it.Over all I would not recommend this bag to anyone.

Poorly constructed

Unfortunately, this bag is very much a case of "you get what you pay for." I was very surprised that this suitcase was so inexpensive, and I found out the hard way why. It is very poorly made. The seam next to the zipper ripped out on the very first trip I took it on, and the bag was not overpacked. Anyone who has ever sewn anything knows that, even for clothing--which will never get as much rough wear as a suitcase--you need deep seams that are double-reinforced. Not so with this bag. The seams are about 1/8-inch deep, and with no reinforcement at all.Only if you have money to burn investing in an essentially one-use, disposable suitcase should you consider purchasing this bag.

Lightweight and sturdy, but not waterproof

As a petite female living in a small NYC apartment, light weight luggage with a space saving option was very important to me.I have used it for around a dozen trips, ground and air travel. No stains, no rips, no tears. No damage to the items inside.It folds really well and I can easily store it under a bed or in a closet. The side pockets are very handy, and the bottom support is very sturdy.The most important thing to consider while buying a softside luggage piece is that shoes, cosmetics, etc. must be stored in a hardside/hardshell packaging. For the shoes, I simply use a shoebox. For the cosmetics, perfumes or anything fragile, I used a sturdy/hardside cosmetic case.In terms of capacity, I have used it for weekend trips as well as a full week's trip. It depends upon what you carry, and how you pack. I recommend Eagle Creek's travel gear pack-it cubes to keep everything compressed, organized and safe.Edit January 2013- One of the bases has come off leaving a small hole on the underside of the duffel. It is not waterproof either.
