So, how do you get a 24" rolling duffle onboard the plane? Get this great resource. Swiss Gear/Wenger provides quality luggage and this one is no exception and its nice size is easy to bring onboard without causing people to stare at a 24" roll-aboard....it is not that big due to the narrow sides. The in-line skate wheels, heavy duty sled rails, bumper guards, self-healing zippers, and three point lift handles all make this a great travel piece. My only complaint is that Wenger used an inferior aluminum on the pull-out handle. If there is going to be problem with this bag I foresee it in the handle. Why build a good duffle only to cheapen it with thin aluminum? The bag tappers down to a smaller space near the handle and all the dimensions make it easily fit in the overhear bin of any plane (except regional jets) without causing a problem for other passengers. The square dimensions make it easy to pack and carry. The u-shaped zipper on top should have been bigger...loading the bag is a bit tough in the corner areas. The waterproof shoe bag on the end is a nice feature, but I never use it in any duffle bag...it takes up too much interior space. Wenger designed the bag with lots of feature pockets inside and outside. Compression straps inside and outside make this a great bag for keeping things tight and compact. It will not match a $260 Eagle Creek bag, but my guess is that it will stand up to long hauls and short overnight business trips quite well. For my purpose, it is perfect and it stands up great on the wheels and two post legs.
