This has become my Go To bag for aircraft carry on and some in & around town stuff. It is heavy duty, bombproof material that will last a long time. The medium is a nice size, easily fits on aircraft and various places but holds a good bit of stuff including my 15" laptop and I think maybe a 17". (Updated - yes, a 17")The end pockets get pulled closed when you're holding it up by the shoulder strap, so they're not as good as I thought they might be for things like a bottle of water or anything that's crushable. You also need to be careful to not pack the bag top heavy as it has a tendency to flip over when you're carrying it by the shoulder strap. But barring that, I find the outer pockets fairly handy and the largely uncluttered inside main compartment (inside pockets along the long dimension are a lot like the ones you see on the outside) to be fine for my my needs.I expect to die before this thing wears out, and it won't be for lack of use.

Great bag, very sturdy, well made and best of all made in Seattle. I travel several days a month for business and on weekends to a beach house. This bag is perfect in size and quality. It is something I will hand down to my son when I stop traveling.
