Disclosure: I love bags - I own entirely too many suitcases and bags, but have never found a week-long bag I loved. That being said, this is hands down the most organized suitcase I've ever used. I just returned from an 8 day trip in Japan. The rooms were tiny and we couldn't unpack, so I was living out of the suitcase the whole trip. I was able to stay so organized, I barely had to re-pack as we moved from city to city. I was worried this would be too small for an 8 day international trip (I am NOT a light packer), but I was able to fit everything I needed with weight and room to spare. The wheels work well and I love that it stands up on its own (no more bags toppling over in airline lines). To top it off, it's a super cute bag. I highly recommend it!To give you an idea of size: I packed 9 dresses, 2 pairs of pants, 4 tops, 1 pair of PJs, 2 pairs of boots, 3 pairs of sandals, 1 pair of tennis shoes, large toiletry bag, medium size makeup bag, hair straightener, 3 belts, 2 umbrellas, small souvenirs, and enough socks/underwear for 10 days and I had room to spare. We still came in slightly under the maximum weight limit (the bag itself is just under 10 lbs., packed on the return flight it weighed 44 lbs). It's a spacious bag but not too big.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to give this a 3 or a 4 star really; here is why; I purchased this same bag (in a different design) for my husband who travels for work 3 years ago. It has held up wonderfully and we both love his bag. I finally got around to ordering this bag for myself, was super excited for it to arrive, and the design has changed a bit. It no longer compresses down flat (which we appreciate for storage purposes) because it has a hard plastic bottom ensuring it can stand up on it's own no matter the load. SOme people may like this. The design change does add to the weight so if you pack a little on the heavy side you might can expect over weight luggage fees with this little fatty. The lower top access pocket no longer reaches through to the "top" compartment either. Again, not good, not bad, just different. It still rolls smooth and the grab handles everywhere are great. there is no secure storage for the compression straps, but I'm sure you can make this work all the same. The quality of the outermost material/ skin seems cheap somehow, and if you are buying the flourish design just know that it is not as visible as in the picture but more of a ghost impression on the bag. It should also be noted tht the typical awesome Dakine zippers don't seem to have quite made it to this particular bag. The interior padding (which again adds to the weight) is however beefed up which combined with the new rigidity will help protect your belongings better. Lastly, which is a pretty big deal to me (those of you who have read my reviews before know this of me), this bag is made in flippin' CHINA!!!!! The brand makes it seem like a Hawaiian surfer (I am blood, born, and raised Hawaiian) went to Oregon with his company, and runs this successful brand; all American, achieving the American dream. The tags in the bag don't say made in China anywhere, instead it has the Oregon contact info letting you continue to believe it is an American product. If you purchase the bag from Amazon however it comes in an oversized box with a very large "Made in China" stamp on it. Disappointing really, and causing me to think about a return. I am out of the States at the moment and it is difficult for me to get to a post office or this puppy would have been sent right back. I am usually a big Dakine fan, I am sad to be disappointed by one of their products. Hope this helps you. I will also try adding pictures once I get my camera back too.

Bought as a gift for son's girlfriend who was traveling overseas. Separate comparments kept her items organized and neat. Great size and weight to carry through airports and different modes of transportation. She received lots of compliments on the pattern of the bag. Fast delivery and excellent service. I highly recommend this seller.
