I got this bag as a gift. Loved it! Lots of pockets and great size. But shortly after I got it, the shoulder strap seam ripped right out. It was so new, I still had the original tags for it. I contacted the company in Aug. 2012 because I didn't know where it was purchased for me.It is now Jan. 2013 and their customer service department has told me the verdict. This is after countless emails, me sending them pictures of the damage, the original tag, and explaining the problem. They told me that they don't usually do this, but they would make an exception for me, and send me a replacement bag. All I had to do was cut out a huge chunk of the bag (no less than 8x10 inches of heavy canvas), pay to ship it to them, pay them $10 for processing, and sometime in the future they would send me the same bag, with the same problem. Awesome. Way to go, Cal-pak. I can't believe a company can have customer service like this and still survive, much less selling a defective product.Bad product. Worse customer service.

This bag is perfect for my needs. Right size, good number of pockets, holds all my gym stuff together. However, the shoulder strap ripped out from the seam under the weight. I don't carry a lot of stuff in my bag: towel, shoes, socks, shirt, pants, tolietry bag...thats it. But appearentlly that's enough weight for the shoulder strap to give out on.Its a fault with the design of the shoulder strap. Its held to the bag with a straight stich, instead of doing an X stich across a wider area of the strap, as is NORMALLY done with this type of material. Because of this fault the strap material frays from under the seam and eventually will just pull out.I contacted the company for a replacement but they will only replace with an identical product, with the exact same defect, understandable but it doesn't solve the problem. I'm lucky to have a seamstress for a mother and she will stich the strap on correctly.If you don't need the shoulder strap this is an awesome bag. I hope they correct this design flaw in a future edition, I would certainly purchase again if they did.

I absolutely love this bag! It is the perfect size to house my blow dryer, workout clothes, extra shoes and towel. The pockets allow me to separate my shampoo and body wash, as well as giving me a place to keep my protein packets. Love, Love, Love this bag!
