We almost didn't buy this bag after reading all of the reviews that spoke of its terrible smell. Well, they were not wrong. It smells pretty bad on arrival. But a day in the fresh air and the smell is largely dissipated. The bag looks good and for its price is nicely put together. My daughter uses it for her cheerleading stuff and is happy to lug it around.

I'd give this 0 stars if i could. It's big and roomy and looks nice, but it smells so horrible that it cannot be used. I even aired it out for 3 weeks - it smelled up my whole room doing so. I put it outside for a day - still no change. It's an awful chemical smell. I returned it and do not recommend.

I purchased this as a Christmas present for my adult daughter. I was very worried when I opened the box and removed the product because the material had an awful "plastic-y" smell! I opened the duffle bag all the way and aired it outside for a couple of days--too afraid to put it in a box and gift wrap it. Even though the smell was still present, I wrapped it anyway. My fears were short-lived. The next time I met my daughter at the gym she gushed about how much she loved the bag.
