I have been looking at this Sydney Love Wardrobe bag for several months. This particular style intrigued me. First off it is on wheels, secondly the handle is long enough to use it as a shoulder bag, thirdly it has lots of strategically placed pockets and finally it seemed roomy enough for packing enough for a long weekend trip. The motiff or design was not my first choice, but this one was on sale and was significantly cheaper than the striped version so I went with saving approximately $110 vs. getting the more stylish (well in my estimation) striped one. I noticed that the price of this one, although still on sale, did increase as I got the last one in stock at the time I ordered it. Why am I speaking of price? My biggest issue with the weekender is the handle and I was wondering to myself if it was so deeply discounted because of problems with the handle. It is a difficult to lower and raise the handle. When you try and force it up, some of the hardware in the handle hole (sorry I lack the technical words) comes up and I don't think it is suppose to. The handle does not seem very stable either. I'm going to work with it over the next few days before I travel with it.Now to the case itself. The cloth the case is made out of seems as though it will hold up for many trips. I'll got through the pockets one-by-one.Cloth-not sure what the cloth is but it seems durable.Handles-the cloth handles are one piece with the luggage so they shouldn't tear off or break at awkward moments (like when you are trying to get down the aisle of the plane)Retractable handle-as I said above it appears unstable and is difficult to retract and push back in. I was telling my son, who works in baggage for one of the airlines, that I was afraid that I'd get to the airport and wouldn't be able to get it down. He said people check baggage all the time with the handles in the out position and at some point they generally break off. Thank you young son! I was like I plan to use it as a carry on, so what if I can't get it down. Well then mom, you'll have to check it. Obviously no help there.Large main pocket--There is a padded area for your laptop. If you don't travel with a laptop, it is thin enough that it doesn't take up a lot of room. You can fit papers or your iPad in it instead. The main compartment is large enough that you probably can fit in four days worth of summer clothes and maybe two days of winter (sweaters etc). I travel with my young grandchildren at times and it would make a great diaper bag for travel. The various pockets can fit clothes, diapers, wipes, toys, food etc!Large outside button pocket - this pocket has a mesh/net lining on the back side that allows you to secure your phone and some other items. The pocket itself will fit a good size book or your tickets etc.Side pockets--there are two zippered side pockets (one on each side). While not huge, they will hold snacks, cosmetics, etc.Large front zippered pocket--you could fit your Kindle or iPad in here (although it wouldn't be protected without a cover etc. You could fit cosmetics, snacks or more in it also. The dimensions are: 10 x 15 x 17 inches and the item weighs about 5-7 lbs. One of the things I really liked about carry on is that the handle is 25" -- I'm tall so often roll on luggage and their shorter handles is a real pain in the shoulder.I have not yet traveled with this. However, because the bag is so flexible I think you could possibly overpack it and then it wouldn't squish into the overhead. Will update after a trip as to how it worked!
