This bag is a fine example of old school leather craftsmanship, and attention to detail. I am rarely impressed with most of the cheap junk being sold today. This product is made of sturdy high quality real leather - not that "plastic" man-made crap so often tagged as leather. Knowledgable people know the difference. If that accurately describes you, then this product will impress. I expect many years of wear and tear with this item.The design includes a zip on the side with a place to isolate shoes inside a fabric pouch. This will keep dirty shoes away from clothing, and other things inside the main bag. It has lots of sturdy zippers, well laid out compartments - for wallets, id, phone, etc. The roomy main compartment also has a velcro attachment along one end; that helps when the zippers are open, and you need to move the bag without loss of contents. Nice touch.The shoulder strap has heavy duty spring loaded clips. They are easily removed for storage indide the duffle. That's a good idea, if you are willing to leave your bag at check-in counter on your next flight. Loose shoulder straps will lead to disappointment at baggage claim. I'll avoid that compliant and use this as a carry-on. I could trust the gorilla to handle the baggage, but this is too nice a bag for a machine to abuse. No wheels included - great!Caution is warranted when trying to open the package. Do not use any long razor or other sharps to open the box. Be careful not to cut into the leather inside. You might suffer great dissapointment to cutting a slice of a fine leather duffle bag. On the other hand, this thing is pretty tough, and made only get scratched.
