Updating my previous review: I used this bag for the first time recently for a weekend trip. I took it as a carry on (no rough luggage handlers involved), and pretty much babied the bag the entire journey. On the third day, the day I was to fly home I noticed that the canvas was freying and ripping away from the top seams. It was not herniating the contents yet, but it was definitely unraveling quickly.I contacted the seller, and they were kind enough to refund my purchase. I'm really disappointed in the quality of this product, but at least it didn't start to come apart when I was 1000's of miles away. Wish it would've worked out better. Back on the search!

If you have been looking for a nice looking, affordable weekender bag, you can stop right now. This bag is great on many levels, and the price is fantastic. I bought this bag right before I went on vacation, so I really put it to use right away. The canvas is thick and seems really durable. The leather is soft and has a matte finish that matches really well with the canvas of the bag. The brass zippers are a nice touch too. The bag looks like it is going to be one of those items that actually looks better with age. The size of the bag is absolutely perfect. It's not too large to take on quick trips, but its big enough to pack everything that you need. The interior of the bag feels a lot roomier than the bag looks. As another reviewer mentioned, it fits perfectly in overhead bins even when packed full. I found the shoulder strap to be very comfortable even when the bag was weighed down and packed full. It worked so well on my recent vacation, that I ended up unpacking my clothing from it and we used it as a beach bag every day. Tossed in the trunk, tossed in the sand, tossed in a cramped airplane, the Stowaway held up really well. It is probably going to turn into my "everywhere" bag. If you are on the fence about weekenders because of their abnormally high price points, this is the bag for you. You won't find a better bag for this price. Say goodbye to taking that tacky gym bag everywhere just because it "works". I'm glad I did.

I was a little leery about buying the Stowaway after seeing the review about the zipper problem. Since I've been looking for a trendy weekender at a good price and this seemed to fit the bill, I decided to call Urban Adventurer about the bag before I made my purchase. They explained to me that this defect has been totally resolved and any inventory shipping through Amazon currently is problem free. I'm so glad I took the chance because this is one of the best accessories I've bought through Amazon in awhile. I can't wait to take it away with me for Columbus Day weekend!
